Google Pixel 8 Pro starts at $799, Wyze Assistant smart cameras, Sonos sale, and more

Move on to the Galaxy S24, Google kicks off the week by launching its latest Pixel 8 flagship smartphone at $799. Added to those $200 savings are the Wyze Smart Cam v3 Pro and its built-in AI-powered alerts in $45. Not to mention, the Sonos Arc landed at an all-time low of $719 before the Super Bowl. Hit the jump for all that and more in the latest 9to5Toys Lunch break.

Google Pixel 8 Pro starts at $799

The dust has settled on the new Galaxy S24 line and now a discount on the Google Pixel 8 Pro is arriving just in time. If you’re not convinced by Samsung’s latest, Google’s newest smartphone is dropping to $799 as its first discount since Galaxy Unpacked last month. This 128GB unlocked smartphone usually sells for $999 and is now seeing a $200 price cut to match the all-time low. This is the same holiday price we also saw during Black Friday. The $200 savings also extends to two higher storage capacities. We were impressed with our hands-on review and go into more detail about the experience below the fold.

Google’s new Pixel 8 Pro was recently launched in October and now you finally see the opportunity to save without having to trade in a device. It comes powered by the Tensor G3 chip, which this time enables all of the company’s artificial intelligence technology leveraged by the photo and video editor. There’s a refreshed 6.7-inch panel that’s getting enough updates to get a new Super Actua display naming scheme, with four sensors included in its rear camera module to round out the phone.

Google Pixel 7a on sale for the first time since Black Friday

Amazon is now offering another opportunity to get the best price on the new Google Pixel 7a. Right now, you can get the unlocked Android smartphone with 128GB storage for $374 shipped in three different colors. It would normally set you back $499, but now it’s back to the best all-time price to complement the Black Friday savings from over a month ago. It is the first discount since then and also the third time it has fallen this low. Google’s new Pixel 7a arrives as the latest version of the brand’s attempt to repackage last year’s phones into a more affordable device. We also just reviewed the device and were quite impressed.

This time, we discovered that the Pixel 7a does not make concessions Even at the most affordable price, it offers a 6.1-inch 1080p display backed by a 90Hz refresh rate. All the usual Pixel niceties are making the cut, with the Tensor G2 chip powering the experience. There’s an upgraded 64MP camera that comes backed by a 13MP ultrawide companion, as well as a 4,385mAh battery to complete the package.

Sony’s XM5 ANC headphones were our favorite releases of 2023, now at $250

My favorite headphones of 2023 are on sale today. Heading into the week, Amazon now has the new Sony WF-1000XM5 ANC headphones marked down to $250. This is $48 off the regular price of $298 and marks the first discount since early December, so it’s been almost 2 months now. This is $2 off the all-time low and the second-best price we’ve seen since its debut last summer.

Sony’s new XM5 ANC earbuds steal the show in the true wireless earbuds space with one of the best platform-agnostic experiences out there. If you’re not sold on the AirPods Pro 2 or Pixel Buds Pro, these are easily the best alternative. These headphones offer some of the best ANC on the market with foam ear cushions and an improved design that is lighter and more compact than before. There’s a new V2 processor powering the experience and everything else which you can read about in our review. I personally love these headphones, and today’s $48 price drop makes them an even better buy.

Wyze Smart Cam v3 Pro includes on-device AI alerts

Amazon now offers the new Wyze Cam v3 Pro 2K smart camera for $45. This is one of the first discounts off its usual $60 price since it launched last year, and in this case, it saves you 23%. Today’s deal is a new all-time low for the first discount in months and beats our previous mention just before summer last year by an extra $6.

Arriving as one of the brand’s most capable smart home cameras, the Wyze Cam v3 Pro starts with a 2K sensor. All packaged in a weatherproof housing that can keep an eye on your space both indoors and out, there’s also a built-in 80 lumen spotlight and siren to help protect your porch or front yard. And in addition to working with Alexa and Assistant, there’s also built-in AI that keeps person detection and other smart features right on the device, with no subscription required.

Sonos Arc hits all-time lows of $719

Sonos is discounting a couple of our favorite home theater accessories today. Savings start with Sonos Arc at $719. You’ll find it, of course, at Sonos, but also at a host of other retailers like Crutchfield and Best Buy. This drops from the usual price of $899 to match our previous mention at 20% off. The last time we saw it on sale was during the Black Friday holiday, and now, just in time for the Super Bowl, you can get the same discount.

Billed as one of the brand’s most capable smart soundbars, the Sonos Arc offers eleven drivers in a sleek design to deliver a Dolby Atmos-optimized home theater setup alongside all the other ecosystem essentials. That includes AirPlay 2 support, Trueplay audio, surround sound support, and integration with the rest of the Sonos speaker lineup.
